On a yearly basis, the country exports not less than 40 million 65-kilogram bags of coffee to other countries that is almost 1/3 of the global coffee supply. Brazil cultivates two types of coffee, namely, Arabica and Robusta.

Colombia

The second place is occupied by Colombia that is known for its Arabica. Gourmets highly estimate Colombian coffee that is considered as the elite one. Colombia is the main competitor of Brazil in coffee production. However, it hardly produces more than 12 million bags a year.

Honduras

Honduras ranks third among the world's top coffee suppliers. The country has only few farms that cultivate Robusta. It mainly produces such type of coffee as Arabica. The volume of global coffee supplies is about 5 million bags per year.

Indonesia

Indonesia has become the fourth largest coffee producer in the world. It produces such types of coffee as Arabica and Robusta. Indonesia also produces several types of highly sought-after specialty coffees, the most interesting one is Kopi Luwak. The process of production of these expensive beans is really unusual. The fact is that these beans are harvested from the feces of Asian palm civets. That is why they have a distinctive and understandably unique flavor.

Ethiopia

Ethiopia, which is considered to be the birthplace of Arabica, closes the list of top 5 best suppliers of this invigorating drink. The peculiarity of coffee production here is the absence of traditional farms where raw materials are cultivated. Coffee beans grow in natural conditions without the use of fertilizers. This gives the drink a unique taste. Ethiopian Arabica contains 18% of various essential oils.
