The past year has made many Forbes list members even wealthier. Let's find out which of them earned the highest profits over the last 12 months and what contributed to their financial success.
Apple and Google remain in absolute leaders among the most expensive brands of the world for the third consecutive year. The cost of the Apple brand in 2015 soared by 43% and exceeded $170 billion. The Google's brand rose in price by 12%, reaching $ 120.31 billion for the year.
Although the Apple brand demonstrated an unprecedented increase in value, in percentage terms (+54%) the Facebook brand was in the lead (23rd place). Its price has risen to $22.03 billion. Another well-known company - Coca-Cola, which had held the first place for 13 years (until 2013) now occupies the third place, and its brand value fell by 4%, to $78.42 billion.
The top 10 most famous and expensive brands include 6 representatives of the high-tech sector: Microsoft (4th place, $67.67 billion), IBM (5th,$ 64.1 billion), Samsung (7th, $45.3 billion ), Amazon (10th, $37.95 billion), as well as 2 brands of the automotive industry: Toyota (6th place, $49.05 billion), General Electric (8th, $42.27 billion). The last place was taken by McDonald's (10th place, $39.81 billion).
In 2015 there were 5 newcomers in the ranking who took places at the end of the list: Lego (82nd place, $5.36 billion), PayPal (97th, $4.25 billion), Mini (98th, $4.24 billion), Moet & Chandon (99th, $4.13 billion) and Lenovo (100th, $4.11 billion). The total value of hundreds of the world's leading brands has grown in 2015 by 7%, to $1.7 trillion, compared to 2014. A number of other popular brands, such as Nokia, Pizza Hut and Nintendo, were excluded from this rating.
