The past year has made many Forbes list members even wealthier. Let's find out which of them earned the highest profits over the last 12 months and what contributed to their financial success.
The Northrop Grumman military-industrial brand from the United States received a contract for a new generation strategic bomber, the value of the contract was $80 billion. Yes, today the US is the world leader in terms of military budget, but the latest data show that some countries began to catch up with America. What states are breathing down the world leader's neck?
The second country in terms of the cost of military needs is China. The PRC is trying to catch up with the Pentagon. The state is seriously committed to modernizing the armed forces and the entire defense system. It was assumed that in 2015 China's military budget will be $140 billion, but the state authorities decided that this is not enough, adding to this number another $50 billion. Overall: China today is ready to spend $ 190.9 billion on the military needs. Of course, it is far behind the USA - the sum of the military budget of this country has crossed the mark of $500 billion.
The third place in the list of states with the largest volume of the military budget is taken by the UK. The amount that the country is ready to spend on these needs is $66.5 billion. Note that the figure is almost three times less than the Chinese budget. In 2015 the British authorities were in the list of countries that increase the military budget. China and South Korea also raised the bar on military spending in 2015.
Russia did not get into the top three of this rating. Our state is currently ready to spend $53.2 billion on military needs, approximately the same amount was spent on military campaigns in 2014. It is known that the US, Japan and Brazil reduced the military budget in 2015.
Finally, France is last in the list of five leaders with the sum of the military budget equal to $52.7 billion. This state, like Russia, keeps the figure, related to spending for military needs, on the same level year after year. It is noteworthy that the countries following the top 5 in this ranking have a military budget below $50 billion. The list of 10 also includes India, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Germany and South Korea.
